Guided tours for students from the College of China to the places of art and of the material culture of Bologna

The Design Center Bologna has organized a series of guided tours for the students of the College of China, meant to discover some of the most interesting features of the material art and culture of Bologna.

The project was started with the aim of supporting the students of the College of China in the creation of videos that tell the story of the city of Bologna, as seen through the eyes of a young foreign student. The produced videos will become part of the material exhibited in the space dedicated to Bologna in the UBPA area (Urban Best Practices Area) in ExpoShanghai 2010.

The Design Center Bologna chose four macro-areas of the artistic and cultural excellence in Bologna, within which four itineraries can be created to represent them properly:

Creativity itinerary, in which students had the chance to visit the DAMS in the building of Santa Cristina,the marvellous Santa Cristina Church and the Academy of Fine Arts.

Arts itinerary, with visits to the Mambo - Modern Arts Museum of Bologna, to the film collection of Bologna and to the Neon Gallery

Music itinerary, meant to discover the secrets of the International Museum and Library of Music of Bologna and of the Conservatory of Music

Industrial itinerary, with visit to the riches of the Museum of the Industrial Heritage
